  • 1 lb Italian Sausage
  • 1 bag mini pepperonis 5 oz
  • 16 oz mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 2 cups parmesan cheese grated
  • 1/2 white onion diced
  • 1 bell pepper diced
  • 1 can sliced black olives 7oz
  • 2 blocks cream cheese
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1.5 tsp salt
  • banana pepper rings for topping
  • fresh basil for topping
  • 1 jar Marinara 28oz

Instructions

  • Brown Italian sausage and set aside.
  • In a large bowl add cream cheese, seasonings, 3/4 of both shredded mozzarella and parmesan cheese, diced onions and peppers, and black olives.
  • Then add almost all of the Italian sausage and pepperonis. Save just enough to put on top for garnish.
  • Mix well then smooth out in a 9 x 13 casserole dish.
  • Pour marinara on top and make sure its evenly covering the cream cheese mixture.
  • Add remaining cheeses and sausage/pepperoni.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 375 degrees uncovered for 30 min.
  • When finished cooking, top with banana pepper rings and fresh basil.
  • Serve with French bread crostini's. We just cut up a French loaf, drizzled a little olive oil on them and baked at 400 degrees for 7-8 min. Enjoy!!

Notes

Use pre shredded cheese if you prefer,  I just usually shred my own bc it melts better.  You could add a little bacon or ham as well although we thought it might be too much.

    Question?

I spotted a green leaf in the mixture is that possibly baby spinach?
    Thanks in advance.

Pork Belly Burnt Ends

There isn't a much better bite in BBQ than Pork Belly Burnt Ends. Some people call them meat candy and if you ever tried them you would understand why. Sweet and buttery bites that melt in your mouth! You can also make these in the oven, I'll give some pointers for that in the notes section!
