Servings: 40 Sausage Balls

Ingredients

  • 1 lb maple sausage
  • 1 lb bacon (cooked & diced)
  • 12 oz shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 20 tater rounds (cooked)
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 block cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 1/2 cups Bisquick
  • salt/pepper

Instructions

  • Cool and cut up bacon, shred cheese,  and cook tater rounds according to instructions then set aside.
  • In a large bowl add all ingredients and mix well.
  • Didn’t need extra salt in my opinion,  just black pepper.
  • Once everything is well combined portion and roll into even sized balls
  • Place in fridge for around 30 min.
  •  Then place in a preheated 350° oven for around 25 min.  Enjoy!

Notes

You can use pre shredded cheese but I prefer to shred my own bc it melts better. Can also sub cooked bacon with 1 cup bacon pieces if you wanna save a little time.

When you print the recipe, the Bisquick does not carryover. Thankful I paid attention to the video or I would have messed the recipe up. Cannot wait to try. Recipe looks delicious

I usually tweak recipies so I’ll probably include some fresh diced garlic and jalapeños.

HELP. My over died and I can’t get my new gas stove hooked up until Jan. 04. My problem is, I’m having a family gathering Christmas Eve and this recipe in on my menu. Can I fry the sausage balls since my oven doesn’t work?

Are tater rounds the same as tater tots?
    Thanks.

A little smaller, maybe use 15 tots.
