- Hawaiian Roll Sliders: Soft, pillowy, and slightly sweet, these rolls taste great and hold together during baking, making them the ideal pull-apart roll for sliders.

- Hawaiian Slider Buns: Soft and sweet, they’re the best bun in my opinion. Use any brand you like, just make sure you don’t separate them until after baking.
- Pepperoni: Crispy little cups of flavor.
- Mozzarella Cheese: Melty and delicious. I like to shred my own, but you can get pre-shredded, too.
- Butter: Unsalted, and brush this on liberally.
- Garlic powder and Italian seasoning: Classic “pizza” flavorings.
- Parmesan Cheese: Use a generous shower to garnish before serving.
- Hot Honey: Sweet and spicy goodness.

Expert Tips
- Crisp Up The Pepperoni: Baking these before adding them onto the sliders keeps them crisp and crunchy. Because no one likes a soggy, greasy sandwich.
- Cover with Foil: I like a golden brown top as much as anyone, but if the sliders are looking too dark, cover them with a layer of foil so they don’t burn.
- Shred Your Own Cheese: Sure, pre-shredded is available, but shredding your own cheese makes the difference – it’s fresher and gets really melty. The pre-shredded stuff often has a coating, and it doesn’t melt as well.
Storage
If you’ve got leftovers, I’m impressed! But since you have them, store leftovers covered or in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
To reheat, warm sliders in a 350ºF oven until the cheese is melty and sliders are hot, about 15 minutes. You could also zap them in the microwave in a pinch.
Make these sliders ahead of time, too. Assemble them without brushing on the melted butter, then store in the fridge. When you’re ready to bake them, brush on the melted butter and cook per the instructions.

FAQs
What other toppings can you put in pizza sliders?
Use whatever you’d like, just like you’d top pizza! Any meats, like crumbled sausage, cubed ham, bacon, or a combination would work. And if veggies are your thing, bell peppers, onions and mushrooms would be delicious too. Experiment with cheese while you’re at it – provolone, cheddar, or pepper jack are all super melty and great options.
What type of bread is best?
The Hawaiian slider buns are my top pick since they’re soft, sweet, and get nice and crisp on top when baked. But you can use other dinner rolls that come in one “slab”, too. The key is to have one giant slider “bottom” and one giant slider “top”, so as long as you’ve got that, it’ll work.
Can you make pizza sliders in advance?
Definitely. You can assemble them with their toppings and store them in the fridge. Just don’t brush on the melted butter until you’re ready to put them in the oven.
