Breakfast "Crazy Puffs"

The new "Crazy Puffs" from Lil Caesars are all over social media right now and they look amazing! I thought to myself, lets make a breakfast version! Give these a try and let me know how you like them. Glowing reviews at our house!

Ingredients

  • 1 tube Pillsbury mini pizza crust
  • 5 slices thick cut bacon
  • 1/2 lb breakfast sausage
  • 2 cups milk for gravy
  • 3 tbsp flour heaping tbsp
  • Salt/Pepper
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 oz shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 4 oz shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  • Cut up bacon and cook in pan on med heat. Remove when cooked through but leave bacon grease.
  • Cook breakfast sausage in bacon grease. Once cooked through add flour and stir for a couple min to create roux.
  • Slowly pour in milk and turn heat to low while con tinning to stir. Season to taste with salt/pepper.
  • Once gravy is desired consistency turn heat off.
  • Beat eggs and scramble on low med heat.
  • Press out mini pizza crust until flat and almost doubled in size. Spray 2 large muffin pans and place pizza crust in . Start by adding shredded cheddar to the bottom.
  • Next, add eggs then bacon pieces.
  • Pour a large spoonful of gravy onto eggs/bacon then top with combo of shredded mozzarella/cheddar cheese.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 375 degrees for 16-17 min. Then turn on broiler for. min to add color to cheese on top.
  • Allow to cool, then top with some of remaining gravy. Enjoy!!

Notes

If you really want to make these super easy then use bacon pieces,  pre cooked sausage, and package gravy, and pre shredded cheese.  That will cut down on almost all of the prep work.

    We loved these! I’m freezing some for camping season! Next time I’ll try using a silicone muffin tin as they did stick a bit even with the cooking spray.
