Why You’ll Love This Recipe
- Impressive yet simple. Anyone cake make these easily!
- Friends and family will love! (They’ll never know it’s from a can)
- Make it your own. Easy to customize with nuts, add ins, etc.

Ingredients:
- Grands Cinnamon Rolls -these are my favorite and you would never know they’re from a can!
- Brown Sugar -adds a rich, sweet flavor.
- Melted Butter (salted)
- Chopped Pecan Pieces -these are optional but a great addition!
- Heavy Cream (if needed to thin)
How To Make Cinnamon Rolls with Heavy Cream:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Place cinnamon rolls in a baking dish, use 2 if need so they can space out.
- Pour just enough heavy cream in baking dish to cover the bottom.
- In a bowl mix brown sugar, melted butter, icing from cinnamon rolls, and pecans.

5. You can add a little heavy cream if needed to thin out but prob won’t (I didn’t have butter).

6. Spoon over each roll and bake in a preheated oven at 350° for 30-32 min. Enjoy!
Expert Tips:
- Make sure to space them out correctly, do not smoosh the rolls too close but keep them close enough to expand into each other while remaining fluffy.
- When pouring heavy cream onto your pan use just enough to cover the bottom. Do not over-saturate the rolls or they will be soggy.
- Using an internal thermometer is the best way to check if the rolls are done. You want to see anything between 190-200 degrees. You can also check for golden brown edges and crisping on the top.
What to Serve With Cinnamon Rolls with Heavy Cream:
The classic choice to pair with this rich, sweet pastry is a tall, cold glass of milk! Coffee, fruit, bacon, eggs, or any other classic breakfast foods will also pair amazingly with these cinnamon rolls.

Storage and Make-Ahead Instructions:
The canned cinnamon rolls are obviously stored in the fridge beforehand, so little to no prep is needed. While refrigerating in an airtight container after baking is an option, these cinnamon rolls are best served freshly baked and piping hot!
FAQs:
- Can I use another type of nut? Yes, we also love walnuts in these rolls.
- Where is best to use the frosting? You can add it to the top of the rolls still for extra decadence if desired.
- If I can’t find the cinnamon butter what do I do? Use unsalted butter and add 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon.

Love them whole family loved it
Love to hear it!
My mixture came out too thin. I used store bought icing instead of what was in the rolls because it wasn’t the cream cheese style (they were out). Maybe that was the problem? Still came out delicious.
I’m not sure? You could add a little more brown sugar if you need to thicken it next time!
I made these a few weeks ago and haven’t been able to stop thinking about them since. Gonna make ‘em for Christmas morning brekkie.
Love it!
These were amazing!!! I used 6 Rhodes Cinnamon Rolls, put the heavy cream in and let them fridge rise for 12+ hours, then finished off rising in a warm area, mixed up the topping, added it and cooked. THEY WERE SOOOOOO GOOD!!!
Yum!
I don’t use the butter. comes out perfect. i just use some heavy whipping cream.
So excited to try these! I have half and half in the fridge already, could I pour that in the bottom of the dish instead of heavy cream?
That should be fine!
These were the best cinnamon rolls I have ever made. Everyone was very happy to eat them on Christmas morning!
Love to hear that!
These were amazing! Better than Cinnabon! I made them for Christmas breakfast (& making again for New Year’s Day breakfast.) I shared some with my neighbors who also thought they were fantastic.
Love to hear it, Happy New Year!
Made them for family and they taste like they are fresh from a bakery. Excellent recipe I have passed on to multiple people already!!
🙌
What size pans did you use?
These were 8×8.
They r AMAZING & I added a lil cinnamon sugar on top!!!
So do you use BOTH cups of icing (from the two roll tubes) in the topping mix, or just one?
Both!
I was looking for the special cinnamon butter that you used before you added the stick of butter. Did not see it in recipe. They look so yummy!
Kerry gold! I get it at Walmart!
