Crispy Pepperoni Grilled Cheese with Hot Honey
I am on a hot honey kick right now and thought what better way to enjoy it than as a crispy pepperoni grilled cheese. The flavors pair wonderfully together!

- 2 slices Texas Toast
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter(divided)
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 12 large pepperonis
- hot honey
- 4 slices mozzarella cheese
- 2 tbsp tomato pesto
Instructions
- Place pepperonis on a baking sheet and in a preheated oven at 350 degrees for around 10 min to crisp up.
- Grate part cheese and set aside.
- Heat a nonstick pan to low medium heat. Add 2 tbsp butter.
- Toast both slices of Texas toast on one side and remove.
- Add 1 more tbsp butter to pan and allow to melt. Then add half of grated part to center of pan.
- Place on slice of Texas toast down on the untoasted side.
- Add 2 slices mozzarella cheese then spread tomato pesto.
- Add 2 more slices of mozzarella cheese and other slice of Texas toast.
- Once you have a nice golden brown crust on bottom side remove grilled cheese.
- Add last tbsp of butter and rest of part cheese. Place grilled cheese untoasted side down. Once you have a golden brown crust on this side just continue to flip grilled cheese every 30 sec until mozzarella cheese is good and melty.
- Remove grilled cheese and open up. Add Crispy pepperonis and hot honey.
- Slice and enjoy!!
