Creamy sausage tomato pesto pasta

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Italian sausage
  • 1 jar tomato pesto 7 oz
  • 2/3 cup heavy cream
  • salt/pepper
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • pasta water (to thicken)
  • 12 oz rigatoni pasta
  • additional parmesan cheese for top

Instructions

  • Boil pasta according to instructions in heavily salted water to al dente.
  • In a pan brown your Italian sausage then add tomato pesto and heavy cream.
  • Stir until well combined then season with salt/pepper.
  •  Add grated parm and combine well.
  • Add pasta a little pasta water if you want to thicken sauce.
  • Top with more Parmesan cheese and enjoy!
