Chopped Cheese Subs

Chopped Cheese is one of those sandwiches that just puts a smile on your face. This is my version on a sub roll that makes this messy but delicious recipe a little easier to enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb American Wagyu Ground Beef
  • 1 small sweet yellow onion diced
  • Bacon Up Bacon Grease
  • 2 12" sub rolls
  • 12 slices american cheese
  • SPG(Salt, pepper, garlic)
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • lettuce optional
  • tomato optional
  • Burger sauce optional

Instructions

  • Toast sub rolls in bacon grease or butter on low medium heat and set aside adding 4 slices American cheese to each.
  • Add some bacon grease and cook down onion in a pan or on griddle for about 5 min on medium heat.
  • Brown ground beef and mix with onion.
  • Season with SPG and W sauce...
  • Add 4 slices American cheese and allow to melt then combine with ground beef.
  • Add evenly to sub rolls.
  • Top with lettuce, tomato, and burger sauce if desired and enjoy!

Notes

If you can't find W sauce,  any worcestershire sauce will do.  I get my sub rolls at Meijer in the deli section or at Jimmy johns!
