Cheesy Shrimp and Dumplings

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 1 lb bacon
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 1 1/2 tbsp Potato Slayer seasoning
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 cup grated parmesan chese
  • 1 cup` sharp cheddar cheese
  • 3 cups milk
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 2 packages Red Lobster biscuit mix
  • SPG

Instructions

  • Cut up bacon and cook in a large saute pan or Dutch oven until cooked through then set aside.
  • Remove half of bacon grease  and then add flour to create a roux.

  • Slowly add milk while stirring,  then add 2 cups of broth.
  • Work in Parm and cheddar cheese while continuing to stir.
  • Add 2 more cups chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
  • Prepare biscuit mix according to package instructions.
  • Scoop even sized dumplings into broth but DO NOT stir.
  •  Cover with lid and simmer for 15 min.
  • In a bowl with shrimp,  add a little Avocado oil and season with SPG and extra garlic powder.
  • place on baking sheet and cook 7-8 min at 400°.
  • After 15 min gently stir in shrimp and bacon.  Enjoy!

Notes

Leave out the red pepper flakes if you want less spicy. Also, I would use a large pot for these.
