Teriyaki Party Ribs

Party Ribs are amazing, that we can all agree on. Easy to make and always a crowd pleaser! Once you make this teriyaki version, you may never go back to BBQ sauce.

Ingredients

  • 3 racks baby back ribs
  • Jody's Asian Persuasion Rub use SPG(salt,pepper,garlic) if preferred
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup mirin
  • 4 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 3 tbsp corn starch slurry
  • 2 tsp minced ginger
  • 4 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • toasted sesame seeds optional
  • 1 cup brown sugar sprinkle on top
  • 1/2 cup honey drizzle on top
  • 1 stick butter cut into pats and placed on top

Instructions

  • Preheat smoker or oven to 250 degrees.
  • Remove membrane from ribs and cut into individual ribs.
  • Season generously with rub.
  • Place ribs on smoker for around 90 min at 250 degrees. They should have nice color and probe around d 165 internal after 90 min. Make teriyaki sauce e in meantime.
  • In a sauce pan add soy sauce, brown sugar, mirin, honey, and rice vinegar. Warm on low until sugar is dissolved.
  • Then add minced garlic and ginger. Bring to a low simmer for a few min and then add corn starch slurry.
  • Stir well and remove from heat. Add sesame oil, stir and allow to thicken.
  • Transfer ribs to aluminum pan, pour teriyaki sauce over ribs.
  • Next sprinkle on additional. brown sugar, drizzle on honey, and add butter pats.
  • Cover with foil and place back on smoker until ribs reach 205 internal(should be approx 90 more minutes).
  • Once finished, mov e around in apt so each is coated nicely with sauce.
  • Sprinkle on sesame seeds if desired, enjoy!

Notes

These can be made in the oven same temp and cooking times should be similar.  Just won't have that smokey flavor.

    Sounds good. But how much measuring for one rack of ribs?

      How much rub do you put on? As little or as much as you want. I’m pretty generous.

    Well you mite try a bottle of liquid smoke you can buy at a grocery store for your Smokey flavor
