
Marry Me Shrimp Pasta
One of my absolute favorite dishes, this marry me shrimp pasta is easy to make and delicious!

Ingredients
- 2 lbs Jumbo Shrimp(peeled and deveined)
- 16 oz penne pasta
- 4 tbsp butter
- minced garlic
- 4 oz cream cheese
- 3/4 cup chicken stock or broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tsp italian seasoning
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- salt to taste
- 7 oz tomato pesto
- 1 cup grated parmesan
Instructions
- Season shrimp with salt, pepper, garlic powder. Cook in oil or bacon grease on med high heat for around 30 sec on each side until opaque, then remove.
- Turn heat not low medium. Add butter and minced garlic.
- Heavily salt water in separate pot and boil penne pasta to al dente(around 7-8min).
- Once garlic is fragrant, add cream cheese, chicken stock and heavy cream.
- Add seasonings tomato pesto. Stir or whisk until smooth.
- Add 1/3 cup pasta water and grated parmesan. Stir until cheese is melted and smooth.
- Add al dente pasta and shrimp. Stir until well coated and enjoy!
So good my kids said this tastes like Olive Garden!
What would you do to chicken to add chicken to this recipe? Or would chicken not be a good match for this? Sounded good in my head at first, but then questioned it lol
No, it’s great with chicken! Just cook about 1-2lbs breasts or thighs in the pan before starting the recipe. Or you can grill em, whatever is preferred.
