
Creamy Cajun Shrimp and Sausage Tortellini

Ingredients
- 1 lb andouille sausage
- 2 lbs jumbo shrimp(peeled and deveined)
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- minced garlic
- 2.5 cups chicken broth
- 1.5 cups heavy cream
- 1 tbsp cajun seasoning
- 1.5 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- salt to taste
- 24 oz cheese tortellini(fridge section)
- 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Cut up sausage and cook on med high heat. Once they have nice color remove.
- Peel and devein shrimp, season with cajun seasoning.
- Add small amount of oil or bacon grease to pan and cook shrimp around 30 sec each side and remove. Cook shrimp in batches to keep from overcrowding pan.
- Turn heat to med low and unsure it has properly cooled before adding butter.
- Add butter and olive oil. Sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
- Add chicken broth, heavy cream, and seasonings. Stir u until combined.
- Add tortellini. Bring to a simmer and cover stirring every few min until tortellini is plump.(about 10 min)
- Add in parmesan cheese and stir until smooth. Add back in shrimp and sausage. Enjoy!
