Cast Iron Nashville Hot Shrimp

One of my absolute favorite things to make, i think you will LOVE these as well!

Ingredients

  • 3 lbs Jumbo Shrimp(peeled, deveined)
  • 1/3 cup garlic powder
  • 1/3 cup smoked paprika
  • 1/4 cup cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 cup mustard powder
  • 2 tbsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp kosher salt
  • 2 tbsp onion powder
  • 1/3 cup turbinado sugar
  • 1 stick unsalted butter
  • Honey

Instructions

  • Get grill set for indirect heat at 425 degrees.(Oven works as well)
  • Whisk together all ingredients for Nashville Hot Seasoning and set aside.
  • In a large bowl add some oil to the shrimp so the seasoning sticks and then add as much seasoning as you like.
  • Arrange shrimp in a 12" cast iron skillet. Sprinkle some additional seasoning on top if desired.
  • Slice stick of butter into eevenly sized pats and place on top of shrimp.
  • Place on grill for 13-15 min at 425 until shrimp are cooked through.
  • Once removed from grill, drizzle on as much honey as you desire and enjoy!

Notes

Store bought Nashville Hot seasoning is fine,  i just enjoy making my own!  You will have some left over to use on something else.
